校园内有多个标志性建筑值得探访。帕金森大楼是利兹市著名的地标，并在大学徽标中使用，作为大学的象征。位于帕金森大楼里面的布拉泽顿图书馆，内部装饰充满哈利波特风格，是大片拍照的绝佳地点。纺织学院是当年张国荣就读的地方，很多粉丝依然会在每年的四月一日前去祭奠。而大礼堂则是举行每年毕业典礼的场所，充满了仪式感。

利兹大学的学生生活非常便利。学校位于市中心附近，步行十多分钟即可到达市中心的购物区。 Trinity Leeds 是一个综合性商场，里面既有Primark, Boots, H&M这些平价品牌，也有Apple，Victoria's secret专卖店等。在市中心还有 玛莎百货，追求高品质生活的同学可以去那里购物。 Victoria Quarter、Harvey Nichols、John Lewis 等购物中心里面都是名牌产品。
利兹的交通系统发达，从学校到市中心非常方便。学校帕金森大楼门前的公交车每趟都到市中心，票价1磅起。乘的士也很方便，门前经常有的士停靠。从利兹乘坐火车到英国其他城市也很便捷，利兹大学学生会每周六都会有去其他城市一日游的活动，费用相比于坐火车来讲十分划算。
文化娱乐活动方面，利兹每年都会举办多个特色活动。 Light Night Leeds 是英国最大的艺术与灯光节，每年10月特别的两天，艺术家们会利用灯光对城市进行再"装饰"，届时将会迎来属于整个利兹的狂欢。 Reading and Leeds Festival 于每年8月份举行，为期3天，是摇滚音乐爱好者的朝圣日和狂欢日。每年11月5日的 Light Bonfire Night，利兹市会在Hyde Park等地点燃篝火，燃放烟花，英国人还把这晚称为"英国最美的夜晚"。

学生会是社交生活的重要部分，利兹大学学联（LUU）每天都有不同的活动，有认识各国文化类型的活动，也有鸡尾酒制作、哈利波特扫把制作等课程。学联定期也会放映免费的电影，还有组织同学去别的城市郊游，有时候还有复古物品市场等等。这些活动都是按兴趣自行报名，为学生提供了丰富的课余生活。
利兹的治安状况总体良好。虽然都说英国大城市比不上小城市安全，但学校周围都是蛮安全的。不太安全的地方是晚上的海德公园附近，因此晚上回来比较安心的话，可以打的或叫车。学生会晚上有巴士，可以送学生回家，价格便宜。总之治安完全不是问题，自己注意安全即可。

Here, you can sample classic British dishes such as Fish & Chips, Cottage Pie, Toad in the Hole, and Yorkshire puds.
