🚆 Efficient Public Transportation Access
National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) is exceptionally well-served by Taipei's metropolitan transportation system. The most direct and frequently used route is via the MRT: Gongguan Station on the Songshan-Xindian Line serves as the primary gateway. From Exit 1, you can transfer to several bus routes, including 1, 673, 907, Green 11, and Brown 12, which will take you directly to the "Taiwan Tech" bus stop right at the university's entrance. For those who prefer walking, from Exit 2, turn left onto Zhoushan Road, walk until you reach Lungh-Tang (Deer Hall), then turn right. After crossing Keelung Road, you will arrive at NTUST—a pleasant and straightforward walk.
An alternative MRT option is the Wenhu Line. You can alight at Liuzhangli Station and transfer to bus routes such as 1, 207, 650, or 672 to reach the university. The bus network surrounding NTUST is extensive. Key routes that stop at the "Taiwan University of Science and Technology" station include 1, 207, 254, 275, 672, 673, 907, Green 11, Brown 12, and Keelung Road Main Line, ensuring connectivity across Taipei.
🛣️ Arriving by Road and Regional Travel
For those driving, NTUST is accessible via two major national freeways. From National Highway No. 1 (Sun Yat-sen Fwy), get off at the Yuanshan Interchange, take the Jianguo Elevated Road, then get off at Xinhai Road toward the Muzha direction. Turn right at the intersection of Xinhai Rd. Sec. 2 and Keelung Rd., and you will find NTUST after passing Changxing Street. If you are coming from National Highway No. 3 (Formosa Fwy), take the Taipei Connector Road, turn left at the intersection of Xinhai Rd. Sec. 3 and Keelung Rd., and the university will be on your left after Changxing Street. Please be aware that on-campus parking is limited, and using public transportation is highly recommended.
Inter-city coaches and provincial highway buses also provide excellent access for travelers from other regions. Several bus companies, including Fuhe Bus, Keelung Bus, and Zhinan Bus, have routes that pass through the Gongguan or Liuzhangli areas, making it easy to transfer to a local bus or the MRT for the final leg to NTUST.
